End of Life

The Respect Life Office staff and members of our Speakers Bureau are available to present to your parish or organization on this relevant topic.

The Church offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Eucharist, and the special graces of the Sacrament of Anointing to provide strength, grace, courage, and the forgiveness of sin at the end of life.

Our presentations help define medical and moral decision-making to understand relevant terms and also  who can assist you and your family to make prudent decisions.

As a general statement, serious ethical cautions have been raised regarding Living Wills and the POLST/MOLST documents.

A wiser route is to create your  Power of Attorney for Healthcare decisions.  Without such advance directives, others may make decisions that do not correspond - either to your wishes or to Church teachings.

Our goal is to be with God at the end of our life.
