Put your faith into action at religious liberty event on Aug. 16

God calls us to live our faith outside the walls of our churches. But when it comes to issues such as life and marriage, our elected officials propose and pass laws that attempt to restrict our ability to promote those moral and foundational issues. As such laws are enacted, our religious liberties shrink, which encourages some to vilify believers.

The First Amendment guarantees religious liberty, freedom of speech and the right to assemble. We invite all concerned to attend a Religious Liberty event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, at Holy Family High School in Broomfield.

We encourage adults and teens to come learn about religious liberty, why it's important and what can we do to defend it. Speaking at the event will be religious leaders and national experts, including Montse Alvarado, executive director of the Becket Fund. The Becket Fund successfully represented Hobby Lobby and the Little Sisters of the Poor at the Supreme Court. There will be a panel discussion and a time for questions. Please join us on Aug. 16 as we put our faith into action.
