Natural Fertility Awareness
This way of living helps married couples understand the wife's fertility cycle using scientific information. It respects the life-giving nature of the marital act.
Fertility awareness can lead to stronger marriages through increased communication and respect.
The Church supports this morally acceptable way to postpone pregnancy when there are serious reasons to do so.
It brings women greater understanding of their bodies, and is totally safe and natural, unlike dangerous chemical hormones - which are known to cause cancer - according to the World Health Organization. it is also safer than devices that may have physical side effects.
Of note: this is NOT the "rhythm method" from long ago! These methods are much more scientific, and allows spouses to detect changes in fertility as they occur in each individual cycle.
